Southbridge Care Homes Enhances Senior Management Team

(Cambridge, ON – July 26, 2018) A number of senior management appointments were announced today by Keith McIntosh, Chief Executive Officer at Southbridge Care Homes. Commenting on the appointments, Keith McIntosh said “I am pleased to make these announcements to support the tremendous growth experienced in our management business over the past number of years and to provide a foundation for its continued expansion into the future”.

As Chief Executive Officer, Keith will focus on the overall development and execution of the Southbridge Care Homes’ business strategy including the redevelopment program for Southbridge’s B&C homes, acquisitions and key stakeholder relations. Keith is an active member of the long-term care industry participating in several Ministry of Health and LHIN discussion panels on redevelopment and funding reform. Keith brings to the role over 30 years of experience in senior management and business development in the health care industry.

Ryan Bell has assumed the role of Chief Operating Officer. Prior to assuming this role, Ryan held the position of Chief Financial Officer for the past 4 years. Prior to joining Southbridge, Ryan’s health care related experience was from two industry leaders being Chartwell and Retirement Residences Real Estate Investment Trust (now Revera). Ryan is a Chartered Accountant that articled with PricewaterhouseCoopers and he has nearly 20 years of experience in various sectors including private equity in the US Pharma sector and treasury activities at the multinational level.  As Chief Operating Officer, Ryan is responsible for overall operations management of the Southbridge Care Homes’ team.

Assuming the role of Chief Financial Officer is Adam Beirnes.  Adam brings a wealth of experience in the seniors housing sector to Southbridge Care Homes including 5 years at Chartwell in various senior financial roles and 6 years at Deloitte.  Adam will be responsible for managing the overall financial performance reporting of the homes.

Reporting to Ryan Bell, Richard Franzke will be assuming the role of Vice President, Retirement.  Richard has held the position of Director of Operations for the Long-Term Care and Retirement homes at Southbridge for the past 6 years. Richard’s experience encompasses over 25 years in operations, business development and marketing in the health care, distribution and hospitality industries. In his new role, Richard will be responsible for the growth and operational success of the 10 retirement and independent living homes managed by Southbridge Care Homes.

To support the management of the long-term care homes, Beryl Collingwood has joined Southbridge Care Homes as Vice President, Long Term Care.  Beryl began her career as a nurse, eventually moving into key leadership roles, including Director of Employee Relations, VP of Human Resources, VP of Client Services and Corporate Compliance, and Area Director of Operations. Most recently, Beryl has held the position of VP of Operations at Lifetimes Living Inc. where she oversaw and supported the regional and community leadership teams in the areas of finance, operations, change management, employee engagement and compliance with regulatory requirements. Beryl will be responsible for the 27 long-term care homes managed by Southbridge Care Homes and will be reporting to Ryan Bell.
